Lenticular vs. Azuna |
|
This is quite likely the most common question I get since we launched Azuna in June of this year. Yes, it's spelled "Azuna", not Azuma or Azima.
There are three main differences;
- Azuna only does 3D; Lenticular does more than 3D, including flips, morph, etc... lenticular effects examples here.
- Some art is better for Azuna than Lenticular, and vice versa... it really comes down to art direction. The clean, flat ipod look is good for Azuna. A jungle scene is better for lenticular. Just send me a low-res of the art, I'll point you in the right direction.
- Lenticular Lenses comes in a variety of thicknesses, from 7mil up to 80mil. Azuna comes in 21mil. So, Azuna is out for roll label applications. We use lenticular labels on a roll for high-speed, high-volume magazine cover and packaging applications.
